Introduction: Simple Beam Compass Instructable

This is the simplest/ easiest way that I could think of, of making a large compass. Enjoy!

Step 1:

Step 2: Gather Materials

Gather 2 pieces of identical length wood for the 'beam', and 2 identical pieces for the inner channel. Also two misc sized pieces for the pencil hole. The sizes you choose dont matter, just as long as they are the same.

Step 3: Glue the Small Pieces on Either Inner End of the Long Stick.

Step 4: Create a Sandwich the Next Long Piece - Using Glue to Adhere Them Together

Step 5: Drill a Hole Into the Pencil Holder

Step 6: Attach the Pencil Holder to the Rest of the Body of the Compass

Step 7: Find a Bolt With a Pointy End and a Bolt + Washer

Step 8: The Final Step

Stick bolt and nut through channel, and pencil in hole- the ruler is now ready for use!
